There was a time when this investigation was so important to me that I spent every single minute of the day working on finding evidence and seeking out victims of this crime. I had the right people in the right places doing the right things. I went from Palm Springs to Hesperia/Victorville to Cathedral City and out to 29 Palms. I was taking pictures, interviewing victims, researching the crime at various universities, and I was trying to keep my friends out of jail. There was a ton of work to be done. I did lots of it all alone.
When things were going well, I had great confidence that this investigation would result in the arrest of the person known as "Lisa". Then something horrible happened, Missy Erickson, Bessie Smith, and Asshole David showed up. You could hear the screeching of the brakes on the bus all over California, but not in Jeffrey's ears.
Most of the victims of this crime know all about Missy Erickson because Lori has a big mouth and likes to brag that she and Missy are "girlfriends". Now that can mean a lot of different things, but when Lori is alone and talking about Missy, she makes it sound like Missy Erickson is her lesbian lover. Lori seems to be very proud of the fact that Missy once appeared in Playboy, the Entertainment Magazine for Men (and Lesbians). I remember when Lori lived in LaPalme that she constantly had a subscription to the Playboy Channel on television and it was always on, according to Jonathan Mendenhall. 24/7/365 the Playboy Channel was on and you weren't allowed to change it.
I also knew about Missy because when I was around Steven Frey, he would sell her crystal meth, if Lori couldn't get any from him. Lori and Brian would often make Steven very angry and he wouldn't sell or GIVE Lori meth for free, so if he was mad, Lori would call up Missy and she would buy it for him. I also learned about Bessie Smith and Leah Fauntleroy through Lori's mouth. She likes to talk a lot about the girls that I call the "Lesbian Mafia." She also called these girls the New Gay Mafia, thinking that they were against gay men in the community. I think the name is inappropriate because organized crime members don't put the name of the people that they are harassing in their own title, this is kind of one of Lori's stupid misunderstandings. She meant that they were organized criminals against the gays...no matter what she comes up with later.
Most of the members of the New Gay Mafia were these girls and some of the gay male victims of this crime, but not limited to people that she keeps as trophies. Brian, her brother, Christian Johnson, and Asshole David are only some of the people that she used. I've also used some of these other men as insiders on this investigation because most people can't stand Lori and they like me more. They usually defect from Lori's organization after years of servitude, but they aren't really a part of the BIG SIX or BIG SEVEN if you include Bessie Smith.
The term "New Gay Mafia" showed, to me, an experienced legal professional that the crime of electronic harassment was a hate crime. This was the language that Lori and Brian used. Although they misidentified what they wanted to say, what they were saying was that this crime was something that an organized group of people was doing against gay people. Making "gay" the primary reason for this torture. I am familiar with hate crimes because I am a paralegal and because I spent years as a criminal case manager for the federal court. These kinds of crimes carry special circumstances at the federal level and I knew it was included by that statement.
For example, though Jonathan Mendenhall works for me, he was once considered and called, "Number Three in Charge" behind Lori and Brian. You never really know who Number One is because Lori and Brian fight all the time about it. If you are working with Brian, he's number one. If you are working with Lori, she is.
