With all of the arrests that Lori LaFond, Missy Erickson, and Brian LaFond have made to so many victims over the years, it would seem odd that they still don't seem to know how arrest warrants work.
An arrest warrant can be issued for various reasons, including an indictment, a criminal complaint, a missed court appearance, or unpaid parking tickets. Each of these situations necessitates that the individual in question appear in court after being detained by law enforcement.
It is my understanding that when Lori LaFond and her friends followed me out of state on my vacation Lori and Brian were arrested several times. They lied about who they were but were fingerprinted and photographed. In some cases, DNA is extracted. When the duo bailed out under the false names, their information did not change. This means that the warrants from the March 2010 vacation period are still there and pending. There is no statute of limitations on a warrant. Lori and Brian failed to appear so bench warrants were issued. It is important to note that if anyone is aware of the dates and the arresting officers it would be significant in obtaining the arrest warrants.
Our community is in grave danger right now because someone or some lawyer is preventing us from notifying the public about Lori and Brian's situations. This is very disappointing and illegal. The community's safety should and does come first. The warrants could be delivered to various people in the area that Lori LaFond has targeted. Indeed, they could also go to their drug customers as part of a sting. My own family has intentionally been left in danger which prompts an almost daily threat to my elderly parents, sister, kids, and grandkids. Lori wants to "show up" to tell them off. I am a police informant. My police contact is woefully insufficient at arresting the girl who describes herself as "his four-year relationship" in court paperwork. He flatly refuses to arrest her for anything.
This does not prevent us from our duty to protect the community and kids that live in our area. Lori has a violent history, as does her brother, with guns and shooting at people they want to kill. We must get the information to the people that Lori intends to contact and visit. People like my parents and their friends; teachers that Lori seems to be targeting from her high school experience. Remember the teacher's lounge incident or the shootings at Becky Lawless' home? I sure do. These people know that Lori is violent. Additionally, local schools should be put on alert as well as bus drivers and the school board. Lori's record of violence should be well known to the Morongo Unified School District as it is to the Palm Springs Unified School District who also sought out a warrant for some sexual crimes against children while posing as a school crossing guard.
While some attorney is stalling dangerously over the line, we are left as sitting ducks without one bit of protection from law enforcement that should have already found her in that apartment complex across the street from "Spin and Margie's". This is ridiculous.
Handing out copies of warrants and pictures of the fugitives associated with those warrants allows the public to be informed. Every resident of that complex she is hiding in should be made aware that Lori and Brian are fugitives (ask Benjamin Katzenberg for the name Brian used to skip out of his conviction) and that any effort to hide them, their drugs, or any evidence of a crime could result in their own charges. This is a group effort to stop Lori LaFond. I am not alone.
Someone needs to make the effort that someone else is holding up! This is too long to let a dangerous convict and her criminal organization linger in this desert. The U.S. Military should be on board.
