Call it what you want, but I've just realized that the path I took in my life has led me to the exact right place where I need to be to handle this situation with Lori LaFond. Most of you know that I studied history in college and that my senior thesis was on the plight of women in history. There is no greater understanding that a person could have than the differences in the sexes and what it means to be a woman versus a man in this current world. It makes me a better person to see a struggle overcome by a woman. My course of study then allowed me to work for some of the most prestigious and powerful women in this country. It was awe-inspiring and it was well worth the trip.
The situation of domestic terrorism and human experimentation at the hands of a woman is quite the opposite of the feeling I have for the women that I've seen succeed. There is a huge cavernous difference between the quality of the person that I've worked for and those I admire as opposed to Lori LaFond. Successful and fulfilled women are nothing like Lori and they don't see men the way Lori does. In my situation and the situation that the gay community of Palm Springs has seen, there is a big difference that needs to be exposed and shown. I can admire and advance the cause of women striving for equality by lifting one another up, but the tearing down of gay men isn't going to be the way Lori succeeds. We're allies in this war for equality women and gay men...no matter the skin color, abilities, or religious beliefs. It's not a war against men, it's a war against ignorance.
With all that positivity for women, how could I possibly want to stop Lori so badly? That one is really easy. I treat her like I would any man that would do this to me, equally. I would work just as hard and say the exact same things were a man in charge of this remote neural system of terror. That it is a woman, is of no consequence to me, it just makes her easier to identify in the gay male community. That's all. For far too long Lori's gender has allowed her to pretend to control everyone, male and female. That "poor defenseless woman" bullshit isn't something that strong women possess. The women I worked for won't see it any differently. I support the efforts of equality by not allowing Lori to be anything more than equal. That's what the law requires.
Problems arose when Lori LaFond, lying through her teeth, claimed that she was being harassed by a man. Anyone that has studied stalking knows one very important thing, this kind of action is what stalkers do to their victims. They try to pull them into their lives because the victim isn't willing to put himself there. Lori was simply trying to use this system of remote neural terror in one way, then feign the victim in another. This kind of two-way terror is all about control. I never tried to control Lori, I tried to stop a rapist. If Lori is offended by that, then she is suspect. From what I've heard, Lori had comments to make about me when I did a television interview about the "anonymous" rapist...why? I never named her. It was only after Lori posted my full name on a poster identifying me as some kind of psychopath that I decided to fight fire with fire. People know me, they know who I am and they know her. I'll put my face on a billboard next to hers any day and you can see who likes who in Palm Springs. I guarantee you, I'm the nice guy and she's the drug dealing monster that tries to control everyone.
I'm the person that studied women's issues, worked for the most incredible women and has women in his life. Lori, well, she doesn't like men, women can't stand her, and gay men want nothing to do with her. Parents have complained about Lori long before she was in high school and I'll just bet that there are a few that have some unkind words about her now. I've said what I've said for a reason. This is a criminal investigation and I need to find the girl on the other end of the microphone without looking for her physically. I don't want to know where she is or what she is doing. I don't want to see her or confront her. I want law enforcement to do their job and see if it is warranted. She's already had law enforcement do this to me and my friends. All you ever see is these men have no problems until they run into her...then they are made to look like the worst criminals. It's time that we do what my friends did last night on that awards show. Stand up, show yourself, show your uniqueness, share your story, and help other gay men and women to avoid Lori LaFond and her mind-reading parlor trick.
It's never been about pulling each other down for us, it's about lifting each other up. We can all stand on the same platform, there is room. I use this blog as a tool for my friends, law enforcement, parents and loved ones...see it for what it truly is and for who Lori tries to be.
