I guess when it comes to serial killers, I don't like to mess around. I've already been friends with Andrew Cunanan and I know that the moment that they snap, we all sit around and scratch our heads. Why did this happen? People think that all the time. I've searched through the archives and I've tried to find someone that fits the Lori LaFond "sickness scale" and it would appear that Richard Ramirez seems closest.
The infamous Night Stalker is actually not the original "Night Stalker", he's the guy after the first that coined the name into infamy. Richard was a troubled youth that sought the comfort of his uncle who fascinated him with stories of Green Beret conquests. Rape, beheading, and torture of women while he was in the military. Richard's criminal career began with burglaries while people slept in their beds then graduated to torture and eventually killing 13 people in the Los Angeles and Bay area. Richard would break into homes while people slept and beat them to death using a variety of weapons.
Lori's fascination with the occult is also something that I've heard of before...Wicca and Satanic worship have been suggested. Lori has told people that she likes biological souvenirs from her victims so that she can conjure up some kind of "binding spell" with them. Shaved eyebrows, hair from hair brushes or blood, Lori loves the idea of binding herself with her victims then she follows them around using remote neural monitoring to continue to terrorize them, their loved ones, and their friends. Unlike any other serial before her, Lori likes to continue to rob and terrorize her victims that seem to range in the 600-650. That's 650 RAPES at least.
I don't delve into the occult very often unless it is for information. Lori describes the blood from young victims as "life blood" and that is something that she likes. The younger the blood the more life it has in it. Unlike her victims, though, she refrigerates her biologically poisoned blood for her victims to receive. In short, she's freaky and the biological threat that this poses is epidemic and scary.
I remember talking to people and hearing that Lori likes pentagrams like Richard Ramirez and Charles Manson before her.
Lori is the first serial rapist that I've studied that has a team of people helping her though. There really isn't anywhere that I can find a "group" of people all dedicated to keeping a serial rapist safe. Currently, Lori and Brian have four constant companions that do everything from stealing a target's bank account to watching the computer to ensure that the target isn't aware of their presence outside of a home. It's like having an entire terrorist cell watching a victim of rape and seeing what they can continue to torture him with. Really this system has had problems like this before when a target has a significant other. Obviously, if one is implanted and the other isn't, there is an advantage to the target. When both people are in a relationship and they are both implanted it gives Lori and Brian the ability to talk to both people at once and create a lot of chaos.
There is so much loyalty to the LaFond siblings with these four other people that they would lie to a Hollywood producer and father of one of the victims...and they think they can always switch into "normal" mode to help Lori. Something freaky happens when they all get together in the same home. Bad stuff. They all enter into some kind of odd "pledge" to each other that they will lie, cheat and steal as much as they can. "The Family" is what Lori calls them. Breaking away from this "cult" like "family" is difficult. Jonathan took many years before he could escape them. It's not simple when Lori and Brian have so much information about them and their families.
Personally, I couldn't be around a killer, rapist, pedophile and sadist. There isn't any amount of money to put me in the region of Lori's person. They must lie to themselves and think that Lori isn't like this all the time, but the numbers show a proclivity for some really sick stuff. Like I've said many times, I would rather be Lori's enemy than her friend. Not the best advice for people that knew Andrew Cunanan, however. Keeping him on your good side lessened the chances of a confrontation. Lori is much better not seen at all.
Lori's crimes need someone to be implanted with a chip that tells her where they are, what they are doing and most important if they are able to be raped because they drank or ate something that was planted in their home previously. A previously implanted victim is easy to see if he is unconscious...his EEG's flatline and that means he is a paralyzed victim for Lori and Brian to "do something to." From what I can gather, Lori likes to pretend she's a thug boy that is breaking into a home to punish the target for anything she makes up, then believes. She's very strange. I've heard that when she was beating my skull in she was telling me that "Steven is my (her) boyfriend and that I didn't belong there..." so this is why she broke into his home in the early am and nearly killed me. The truth is that she has had a death wish for me since at least 1987, maybe even earlier. It's a long term life stalking that I am the victim of.
