People often wonder how to avoid another situation like the gay community had with Andrew Cunnanan, whom both Anthony Dabiere and I knew quite well. After a situation like that happened they always ask the parents, "Were there any tell tale signs?" "Could this have been prevented?" I want all of the parents of electronic harassment and Stephen Johnson Jr. to know that the answer is an undeniable YES!
Rather than get to that point, I decided that with this case I would take a much different approach than that of the Cunnanan situation. I should also add that although I was living in San Diego at the time of the Versace incident, I was in South Beach, Miami the week of Versace's murder. When you know how much Andrew didn't like me, you can understand the urgency I have with this situation and how sick the Johnson family is to have let Stephen stalk me electronically this way for 13 years...and how mad I am at the PSPD for letting him; especially when you consider that he drugged and raped 5 of my very best friends simply because they were my friends....It gives you a complex. Steven Frey told me that he was toxic...I call it psychologically victimized. So I would be remiss if I didn't do EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME TO HELP ALL OF YOU. I can't live with myself knowing that other families can be spared the stench of the Johnson Family curse.
The problem isn't my attempts to tell you the truth, it is everyone else's ability that knows about this to do the same...too much silence from too many good people that are willing to watch me do everything while they sit back and enjoy my taking hold of the situation...it isn't fun....and it isn't legal to ignore what this family has done...it hurts....BUT I WILL BE DAMNED TO LET ANY MORE OF MY FRIEND'S DIE LIKE JEFF TRAIL...Andrew's first victim and a good friend of mine. I especially won't let Christopher, Anthony, Johnathan, Steve Frey, Gary Bowman, Chuck Cheeld and others perish while I do nothing....I can't...so tonight I wrote another letter to the PSPD and City Officials and urge you all to do the same....
I've already lost so much because of this fucking asshole...I won't let him take another life or dime from any of you without trying...especially my Christopher.

After three solid days of being threatened by Stephen Johnson Jr telling me how he is going to kill my friends, family and officers at the Palm Springs Police Department using this electronic harassment I have decided it very important to provide the families of these victims with as much information as I have gathered with respect to their harassment, their stories, their arrests, the commonality of their experience, and the obvious organization of this crime that the PSPD refuses to investigate. Once you have been shot at and brutally beaten by this man you have to do everything you can to protect your friends and officers of the law that have been good friends to my family for years. As I have already shown you, these families have been victimized as well. This has all been accomplished because good men and women did nothing to stop him. I can't allow more children to be victimized or family's finances to be destroyed.
The families of these victims can expect to find arrest reports, interview information, case information, officer's names, emails to public officials asking for help, emails from these victims to myself, text messages falsely sent to me from Stephen Johnson Jr. pretending to be the victim, contradicting stories from police officers, attempts by victims to report child pornography that were ignored, faked obituaries, and a general lack of concern and witness intimidation of these victims. Additionally they will know about other victims in our area that haven't yet been arrested by the PSPD but are threatened every day. A full disclosure of the facts of each victim's case will be made available to them so that they can protect their family member from Stephen Johnson Jr. and Tracy Johnson. I will also be going on the radio and interviewing with magazines in the near future with national experts on this crime to warn the community about this crime.
I doubt that Sgt. Anderson and other officer of the Palm Springs Police Department has ever heard the kind of threats to his safety that I have heard Stephen Johnson Jr. has made to me about him, but others have. Almost all of the victims of this crimes have been threatened with death. Steven Frey was threatened to sell drugs or his family would be killed....HE TOLD ME THAT! Normally I wouldn't give such threats much credibility, BUT THIS MAN SHOT AT ME, BROKE IN TO STEVEN FREY'S HOME AND RAPED ME, THEN THE PSPD COVERED IT UP FOR HIM...so my only hope to survive is to tell these families to fight back. I am not a promiscuous man that has unprotected sex so getting hepatitis c is as likely as Sgt. Anderson getting it...it doesn't just happen, I was attacked!
Nearly every victim of this harassment was brutalized by this man and his brother. Most of them had everything they owned stolen by him. Every single one of my close friends has had every belonging they owned stolen and stored in a storage unit and nobody has lifted a finger to find him....
I had to hear all day long about how Stephen Johnson Jr. was going to ambush Sgt. Anderson and his family outside of his home and because the PSPD has created such an atmosphere of intimidation for all of us I can't even report what I know in person for fear that they will try to arrest me again for sneezing or something trite like that. Sgt. Anderson is a friend of my family and I am afraid for him. What more can I say? I fear for his son, because Stephen Johnson Jr. is a pedophile that has stolen little boys, drugged them, and forced sex on them...when Anthony Dabiere and I tried to report what we both saw on video tape with these kiddie porn movies (and a business plan to have them distributed) the police balked and more children were hurt. For Anthony's troubles, he was threatened with further arrests...this situation is ridiculous. I would be negligent like the police if I didn't tell these families.
What I am telling you here IS the truth...it may sound incredible, but look at the evidence before someone else gets hurt. I won't feel guilty if something happens to any officer of the PSPD or these victims because I told you the truth. What harm could come from bringing Stephen Johnson Jr. in for questioning to see if I am right?
You also need to understand that both Anthony and I were very friendly with Versace Killer, Andrew Cunnanan (Dasilva), so we both have been put through this before. This time we have the opportunity to stop this madman and his cousin Tracy before the killings start....I am not exaggerating, I have already had two attempts on my life so far...I reported both to the police both here and in San Diego, this should be a priority. I want to save an officer's life that I love and my friends that I love too.
