This is an incredible story from Scotland but it is a little dated compared to the technology that we deal with. Imagine a serial killing rapist that "bugs" her victims' homes, but instead of one location, the bug is inside the rape victims' bodies. This story is shocking enough, but when you add in that Lori's bug of our lives travels with us and can even pick up our thinking, then what kind of damage can the rapist cause?
Can she get rid of a crime lab report? Can she contact your friends? Can she steal from your bank accounts? All kinds of problems when you consider that she gives us HIV and then follows us. You can never really have a relationship where you get to know someone and not tell them you are infected even when you aren't sleeping with that person. Remember this is before Prep and PEP...so my fraternity brothers were contacted, my girlfriends/boyfriends were contacted, and anyone that I was interested in was contacted. It's not just the HIV, it's when you are and are not home, so robbery is always a problem.
It also puts people you love in danger and they don't know it and if you tell them, they don't always believe you without confirmation.
