A good criminal is an oxymoron. I'm the first person in the universe to tell you that I loved watching "Breaking Bad" and Bryan Cranston as the most popular meth manufacturer ever. Just like Lori, his reason was "doing it for his family" when he found out that he was dying of cancer. Bills were piling up, his son was disabled, so he decided to "break bad" from his career as a high school science teacher to the State of New Mexico's finest manufacturer of blue crystal meth. We should be careful to remember that as much as we love Bryan in this role, he was still a criminal, a killer, ruthless, cold, and a lousy father.
No matter what you think about Heisenberg on screen, would you really want him living next to you in the cul-de-sac? Remember folks, this wasn't a hero, he was a criminal. For all the good reasons why he became a drug manufacturer, there were a million more that made him a bad guy. It was breaking BAD for a reason...Good is not bad or bad is not good, no matter how Lori says it.
For many reasons I liken Lori's time with the PSPD to "Breaking Bad". All the busts, all the arrests, all the gay guys with HIV that she gave them, entrapment, lies, bad commissioners, bad cops, this leaves a city like Palm Springs wondering, who really is in charge at the PSPD? Their figurehead Chief Bryan Reyes whose work is not overseen by anyone or Lori LaFond who rapes and implants you with a microchip she uses to rob, steal, punish and torture a community? Either way, this is a town under siege and nobody should want to own a business (like a pawn shop) or live there. What was once a haven for the LGBTQ community is simply a food supply for someone like Lori LaFond and her friends that have lived off the community they hate for over three decades. Now they are in 29 Palms, doing the same exact thing...right Bessie?
I am reminding all of you that this situation hasn't had one single drop of positive movement in over ten years because someone decided to play with the idea of remote neural monitoring instead of stopping it when he had the chance. He chose tits over justice and I think that is the most shallow thing I've ever known.
I hope someone out there does better than this man did. Our lives depended on good decision making not off the wall concepts and vague plans that in no way resemble a police investigation but more of a night at the strip club with a fist full of dollar bills.
This was a game to Jeffrey, but it was my life. I hope nobody decides to play a game with his because he'll blame all of us for not being clear enough about Missy Erickson and her gang of stripper meth addicts.
