I'd rather see them cancel the violence than the Free Speech, wouldn't you? When a campus like U.C. Berkeley cancels "Free Speech Week" and a speaker like Ann Coulter, then you know we've had a disruption in service. I am by absolutely no means an Ann Coulter fan, of course, I'm gay, but I do believe, steadfast, in her absolute right to free speech and her right to talk about her beliefs. I do! 100%. If she can't have a forum to discuss what she feels about what she believes in, then how will others who don't have theirs?
What people are doing is reacting to the violence that hasn't been dealt with by a weak President whose response to this crisis is slow and jumbled. When you look to a silent minority for support and that minority are fringe groups like the KKK...this is what happens. Separatists and government radical are not "fine people", they aren't representative of a "better America" they are reminiscent of an America we left behind. Truly what has happened here is that we've tried to avoid the issue of violence by not talking about it. The issues don't go away by avoiding free speeches about them. They fester and grow.
Nothing goes away with avoidance.
I know that Lori wants me to stop talking about what she is truly like in favor of her torturing people in silence. Isn't that a convenient thing for her to want? I'm sure she'd love that. Unfortunately, that didn't work for me or any of the gay community that she destroyed for thirty years. The HIV alone was devastating to the Palm Springs area enough to necessitate the building of the Desert AIDS Project. Now we need to show everyone why we have the epidemic numbers we have with syphilis and staph infection. We need to explain why so many of us are hospitalized with bacterial pneumonia and test positive for Hep C exposure and TB but not the virus....it is a signature of a rapist, not the inner workings of a promiscuous gay community...it's simply the work of a girl that refrigerates her blood to infect people with it. It shows a pattern of intentional infection, not orgies in Warm Sands.
