In light of last night's 26 point effort from my friend Klay Thompson vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers who won the game by 35 points, I thought I would ask him if he and Draymond have learned to forgive themselves yet? It is an inside joke. They both know that I've spent a lot of time reminding them that to truly understand a win you have to lose. They know what I mean. I think that they know what I mean now. Winning means more than it has ever meant before...for a lot more reasons than it ever has. The work, the effort, the sincerity of purpose, all of it means so much more when you have a situation that focuses on something that you had that you lost.
I know, I've done it many times. I've been through it and I've learned to forgive myself.
So, Mr. Green, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Durant, Mr. Kerr., Mr. Curry, Mr. Igouadala and the rest of all of you....and all of your wives...have you learned to forgive yourselves?
Good, now learn how much that means to everyone that forgave you from the beginning. We will always love you. For giving the effort.
