I think that the best advice I could give to any advocate chasing justice for any injustice is to eliminate your expectations because they only lead to resentment. I've had a lot of these over the last 25 years, and I've discovered that if I expect nothing from people, I have fewer resentments when they deliver nothing. People seldom have you in their priority lists. Even boyfriends or girlfriends prioritize much differently than you think they would. So, eliminating any expectation is probably the smartest thing a person could do.
Today, I am dealing with the return of someone that I, honestly, can't stand. I've had too many disappointments and lies that ruined everything that I worked for. Now I try to do this job of education without people whom I used to be able to count on. Some people build you up, and some tear you down. Knowing who is who is a great advantage. So while this person is here again, sucking the life out of the people who want this to end, I will be doing nothing to help. I can't keep working my ass off to save lives only to watch him put them back in danger again. This isn't a game to me; to him, it's a challenge to see how horrible he can become.
I'll keep trying to give you the information that you deserve, but honestly, I'm a public awareness campaign, and he is a public cover-up disaster. There is no worse enemy to an advocate than someone who would shut down the information highway to the people who need it the most. The people in our area of this universe need help; they don't know what monster he let loose in Arizona, then here. I do. He thinks you are better off if you don't know about her and her wicked friend Melissa. I have already seen them both abuse my mother, father, sister, niece, and their kids. This is the wrong person for me to have to face again. You'd think he'd just blow away after all the problems he's caused for 15 plus years.
We've all seen him destroy families already. He is blowing up his own now. I don't want a thing to do with it.
So with the holidays ruined again, I just wanted everyone else to know that I do appreciate your time and energy. Some of you really believe that the best path is the one of law and order. I couldn't agree more. I'll wish you both a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas now, so I don't have to deal with that later. Your families are free to be who they are; that's a gift that only the truth brought to my friends. Whether they admit it or not.
