Everyone on my team is constantly wondering what the straw that will break this camel's back is going to be? Will it be Lori's arrest warrants from Arizona? Will it be the Riverside Crime Lab report that was buried? Could it be the information provided by a stranger? Nobody knows for sure, but something is going on at Party Central and it doesn't sound like a self-affirmation party. My bet is that Lori LaFond's Legendary big fat mouth will be the proverbial straw. Odds on favor suggest that Lori's mouth is the biggest problem that Lori has. I know that is true. It must be hard for a fugitive with a huge mouth and a penchant for tattling to keep under the radar. Does anyone think Lori is capable of that kind of silence? Me either.
I've always said that in this crime of silence and anonymity, Lori's worst problem is her need for attention. The two concepts compete with one another and Lori's ego always wins out. A loud-mouthed criminal does not stay out of jail. The way that Lori taunts her victims and their families makes her a target for just about anyone with a friend in law enforcement. I am thankful for those people that do the right thing. I've heard Lori talk down to lots of people on this system and when she belittles them, I think to myself, "That isn't a good idea, Lori." Of course, Lori has narcissistic immunity from all harm, but that isn't a real criminal defense. It is an imaginary defense. Those only work in imaginary courts of law. Lori isn't headed toward an imaginary prosecution, she's aimed directly at a real prosecution with real evidence that points at her.
There have been so many chances to catch Lori and Brian LaFond in the act of electronic harassment, but each time something has happened that has allowed them to walk free but in a fugitive status. It is just a matter of identity and proof. Once law enforcement has their identity, they will be able to find multiple instances of identity theft and other crimes; some were already convictions with sentences.
Other families are receiving threatening messages, like Missy Erickson's father, allegedly who is rumored to have received a text message from Lori LaFond that told him to "drop dead". That sounds like a threat to me, but I guess it is all in the receiver's court at that point. I wouldn't like to be a father receiving that kind of message from my daughter's crazy-assed drug dealer girlfriend, would you? It might make me seek law enforcement's help. I hope that Missy Erickson's family understands that I am simply doing what I had to do after 40 years of stalking. I know what the messages are like from Lori, I used to get them all the time. Emails too. Every single word from her feels like she is taunting you followed by the occasional insincere apology. What Mr. Erickson and his family need to remember is that if Lori is talking or texting you, she IS manipulating you. Lori doesn't have conversations with people without it benefitting her. She never calls just to say, "Hi." is what I am getting at. I feel like Missy to Lori is a trophy and that keeping Missy with her is Lori's way of punishing her parents...in your case, Lori is punishing you because then Missy won't have anywhere to go. It's always about control with Lori.
