You know with the kind of political career that Alexandria Ocacio-Cortez has had, so far, it is interesting to note what a really genuinely nice person she is. (Not bad looking either everyone...lol!) I wanted to take just a second to recognize that AOC is constantly in the spotlight when the Republican Party wants to take a shot at someone, but what you should have seen is the way she cares about the Bronx and the rest of the country.
Call her "progressive", call her "too young", call her "female", and I think that you will be walking into a problem that you created because not only is Alexandria all of those things, she is 100% proud of it! I like that kind of person.
Today she alone raised $2 million for Texas relief in light of all the problems that the people are having with this latest snafu of powerlessness. She doesn't just represent the Bronx, she represents everyone that is a minority. This isn't her state...but she has the kind of support that allows her to do good things for people outside of her jurisdiction. She cares. So while Ted Cruz is flying off on vacation into Mexico (how did he get that plane over the wall he helped to build?), AOC, in the midst of having been hunted down at the Capitol just over a month ago, is raising money for poor people to live.
I just want to remind all of you that when you work for the government, you work for the people of this country no matter where you are from. I am so enthusiastic about this young woman with a strong opinion...someone for young girls and women of all ages to look up to and admire. I know I do.
Thanks AOC, you make a huge difference for all minorities and all citizens of this country. I would have hidden you from rioters and stood in front of anyone that threatened to do you harm. Not on my watch!!!
