For every single person that witnessed what just happened in America and knows that we just narrowly avoided one of the most incredibly poor jobs done by a President, I wanted to extend my prayers to the black communities that did not let this country fall into the hands of a white supremist dictator that would see all of us die before making some money for himself. Thank you Black America, you saved this country!!!
I will remind you that there has been, in the past, an incredible attempt to suppress the black and minority vote in this country. When we needed to step up and vote we had to count on the black community to help out more than ever before. The white people that truly believe in equality once voted in a black president, and he did a terrific job, but it wasn't enough. Though black voter turnout was much better, it didn't sustain itself after his terms in office and the presidency fell into the hands of a ruthless dictator that doesn't seem to get along with anyone. He pandered to fringe groups and refused to denounce white supremist and anti government groups with links to these supremist in order to get votes. We lost the election and he continued.
Make no mistake about it, the black communities all over this country made the biggest differences in voting out this horrible administration that attempted a coup of our newly elected president and vice president. This is how Nazi Germany began. I am a history major and I know. We also have to remember to do it again, and again, and again, every single election so that we can make change happen. Hitler had two runs at running Germany...the second opportunity gave him the power to kill millions of people...we must always keep that kind of dictatorship OUT OF AMERICA!
If there is anyone out there that doesn't believe that Black Americans aren't just as American as whites, you need to understand that the black community just saved America for all of us! Equality is a long struggle, but when you participate in change through elected officials that believe in equality above money, you take a step in the right direction.
For all gay black Americans, you know this is a long journey....our community has a long way to go, but this was for you and you delivered!!! All minorities won in Georgia...thank God people voted like OUR lives depended on it, not just theirs.
