I'm sure that after the death of Jonathan's father, that the Dewey Ministry of this church has hit some hard times. The death of Ed Mendehall is the kind of thing that can devastate a ministry, not to mention a family. So I'm thinking that we should all get in touch with the people that are in charge of the church to see where donations could be made to help the good citizens of Dewey, Arizona get through this hard time. Jonathan and his father are two very hard men to replace. Leaders in the community and honest to a fault. When this caliber of person dies, so many are affected. I can't imagine what this must be like for their families...
Call them up and see if you can make a donation in Ed Mendenhall's name!!! Maybe we can connect the church with the Jonathan Edwin William Mendenhall Foundation that was being talked about with Anthony Dabiere and Alice Mendenhall on facebook. A sort of 2 for 1 thing with father and son. I think that would be totally awesome to have both memorialized forever with the church.
I'm certain that Sharon and Alice Mendenhall and Alicia Elmore would appreciate all the love and support you could give them and the church now that two of the men in that family have passed. One on Christmas Day no less...how heartbreaking!!!
Please pray for the Mendenhall Family and hope that they can squeeze barely through another Christmas season. It must be terribly difficult to have so many tragedies in such a small period of time. My heart literally bleeds for them.
Remember everyone Christopher Monti is also a Lutheran minister. Out of the most respect for his beliefs, I think it fitting that someone like me looks into how we can help that ministry stay in touch with the values that GOD has set forth.
