In keeping with the theme of Gay Pride and ALL Black Lives Matter, tomorrow we will feature someone whom I admire more than most. Jason Collins, the first professional NBA player to come out while still playing in the league. A wonderful person for anyone in the black community to admire and an LGBTQ advocate for change.
Jason is one of my favorite people because of his bravery and unwillingness to be anyone other than who he really is. Is he the first gay professional athlete? No, of course not, but he is the first black professional to do it while still playing in the league. We could all learn from his example!
Way to go Jason...glad we are friends!!!
