Let's get this straight, Christopher preaches the Word of God, he's a priest, I teach the principles of gratitude and how to see the world for the miracle that it is. I teach understanding and faith in what YOU believe in. Two different approaches aren't exclusive of one another. In our relationship, it works. He allows me into his understanding with questions about my own and vice versa. The greatest gift I can give to you is my understanding of life and afterlife through a gift that God gave me at birth. I hear angels, I know they exist. I know that your loved ones remain in loving contact with you your whole life even and especially after they have passed.
If you know me, you know that this gift I have came from God. If you know me you know that I use it to convince you to stay faithful to your belief system. The most important message I can give any of you is that God is real and that he spends his time loving you. I also want to remind you all that prayers are answered, sometimes, "No" is the answer and that's that. I know that sounds like an unanswered prayer, but many times God has given you another route to the same answer you seek, you just aren't seeing it. You don't always get to choose the miracle you want, God gives you options...sometimes they aren't easy or visible. Seek to do better things for your situation removing the obstacles that you've put in the way.
I can tell you that if you want to feel good about yourself, you should do something for someone else. It is a selfish and automatic way to make you feel better. Selfish because you know it will, and automatic because so many people need help in this world. Maybe they need it even more than you do. It's kind of arrogant to think that your problems outweigh everyone else's so you should go to the front of the line. Have you ever wondered if that miracle that you want so badly to help you might make things more difficult for someone else or a whole group of people? Let's realize that our place in this world is temporary...some people spend their whole lives waiting for that lottery ticket when the job they needed passed them by. It's a matter of looking at the world differently...a more gentle and practical approach. You learn from the "No's" as much as the "Yes's", in that regard learning and growing from it teaches you humility, compassion, and strength. Like Ari says, "Pain, that shit is amazing!"
Reflect for a moment on the sacrifices that your parents made for you and give that the weight it deserves when you call them today and tell them thank you for all their love and support.
I just want you all to know that Christopher and I appreciate your kindness in all forms. We feel your love. We just want you to feel ours too.
Happy Easter everyone...miracles happen all around you. I hope they are the ones that help you out.
