This brave and proud mom probably has the best-adjusted kid around. I am always proud of people that stick up for themselves and praise the non-homosexual crowd she works with for making her feel better. Michelle Crider represents the best we have from our community. I understand the distinction between "fags" and "dykes" is controversial for some, but for someone that lives in the community, I also realize what she is saying.
As people that are out identified, they have the right to complete their part of the picture identifying as their own friends would identify them. Though we are all LGBTQ, the "dykes" have been put through all the misidentification. She's earned the title "dyke". It's something she is proud of. If she is comfortable with that term, she wants it to be correctly used, she has the right.
In any case, no LGBTQ person should ever have to read this kind of filth at their job, but when they do, we all have to rally. It keeps an idiot like this from doing it again.
Way to go Michelle...you are awesome.
