Here we have another person that seems to take advantage of minorities and people that really are victims of crime. I'm not really someone that likes to kick a person when they are down, but this guy did nobody any favors by making up some whack story about two black men that wanted to bleach him white...um...those aren't the lightest skinned guys on the planet either if their point was to dehumanize Jussie.
Lori has done this hundreds of times and our police couldn't care less. She's made more false allegations against people and put them in jail. I think what this cat needed was some education about sociopathy...and less time trying to make a headline.
I'm an advocate for victims of rape and police injustice. I can't support him...it's super unfortunate. Problem I had with this story...do these guys look like they need to carry around bleach to "whiten up" Jussie Smallet? It makes no sense...if these guys wanted to hurt someone, Jussie wouldn't have a chance!!!
Now that I've said all that...I still believe in the presumption of innocence...I just have seen how court cases work. I know Grand Juries and I know what's going to happen from here...expect a plea deal to be struck soon and a guilty plea to something lesser. I don't think that it sends a good message to anyone. Will he get jail time? Not much in this case. The big rub is that he called out the Chicago Police on the one time that they weren't doing something bad.
There were plenty of other black men and gay men that have a real beef with this department. Now doubters and others will be less likely to help those who truly do have these kinds of problems. The police spent money and time on this investigation...expect them to end up not very happy about the outcome.
Probation is my guess...maybe 30 days in jail.
