I know most of you in the Palm Springs area that are victims of this crime know this guy if you have been arrested or have been sober. This is Roger Tansey, he was at the heart of the Warm Sands sting case involving Bryan Anderson and the police department defending some of the men that were caught with their pants down during the solicitation sting. He's represented many electronic harassment victims over the years and probably has no idea that he's done it. He's been a friend of mine for a very long time and if you don't know him, he's like this really terrific guy to talk to and get to know. He's also a really great lawyer. I'd like to see if the Mendenhall's lawyer would like to talk with him and get him up to speed with what we are working on and see if he'd be interested in working with us on this case. I know that he's a terrific lawyer and I don't know if there is any kind of conflict, actually, I think it's his job.
He's a really interesting person and I've worked with many attorneys over the years. He's the most "federal public defender" type of the state public defenders that I've ever met out here. Very professional. He knows his job really well. He's actually the only one that I met that knew what he was doing. He's friendly with Ken Moses on our team and could be a good liaison for the introduction. Ken's relationship with this technology and with the team is long and in good standing and I've provided Roger with some information in the past.
Working as an informant for Bryan Anderson provides and interesting twist in this investigation too. It really depends now on how Bryan wants to define his role in this saga. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Is he willing to talk to my sister or my family or not? Is he going to stay clammed up or not? If he stays the way he is then Roger's involvement could be adversarial in a really interesting way. If Bryan isn't bad, Roger's involvement could show that Bryan's role in the Warm Sands situation was a complete Laurie set up for Bryan to get fired...you know Laurie is like that. It all depends on what the evidence will show!!! That infamous word "cocksucker" may be better explained as a "mysterious caller" that never appeared or a video that never was shown...or a district attorney that gave approval but they never found...who was that? Was it Laurie in disguise?
Bryan and Roger together again...or not. Could be fun. You see Laurie had a reason to go after Bryan at that point. He knew Laurie might have been my rapist. She wanted him gone...he knew she had overheard the conversation about him wanting me to be an informant and then my rape happened. He was pissed and knew she'd been talking about me.
