What if the drugs that the victims that Laurie's Blue Widow victims have to take could be put inside of a matchstick sized pump and put underneath the skin to be time released so that they could be released into the system to fight the disease or prevent a person from getting HIV? This is the hope of another way to fight AIDS by Bill Gates and Intarcia whom have just partnered.
Another brilliant way to introduce PreP drugs into the system of individuals to either keep them from developing HIV infections or to keep them undetectable. It takes the guess work out of taking HIV medications and keeps people on a regulated schedule. Right now it looks like the subdermal pumps would have to be replaced every six months but this could be the beginning of a whole new way of treating diseases that need constant drug injections or daily doses. A much safer way of treating patients.
This way someone like Laurie couldn't steal the medications from patients when doctors prescribed them. Pain medications could also be administered this way as well. No more stolen prescriptions. Think about it.
