Contrary to Laurie's stories, she is not friendly with anyone in the music industry. It has come to my attention that she likes to tell people that she has friends that play in bands like Twenty one Pilots, G-Eazy, Britney Spears, P!nk and my buddy Adele. She is misleading anyone that would believe this lie. I have a lot of people that love my team. They are really supportive of what we do and they are just really good people that want people to be safe. Laurie likes to think of herself as some kind of "friend to celebrities", but the thing is that she is just spying on the team of friends that we have that monitor some of the support that we get from other friends.
You all know that I love the above mentioned artists because of their support of their fans and because they are generally really good with the gay community. Whether or not I am friendly with them isn't the issue here. The point is that when you have the support of people in the music industry on a project like this, you have the chance to let people that contact people know that this is happening. When they get that kind of information, then they too can help others. I am proud of them. I am proud of the kinds of commitments that they make to friendships, family and the community. One thing that I am most certain of is that none of these artists would ever support what Laurie does.
What is very important to me is that Christopher is supported. He moved here from New York and was alone. I wanted him to know that not everyone in California acted the way that Laurie wanted them to. This is a harmonious state where beautiful people came and made beautiful kids and have built communities of beautiful families. Now that I have a voice to support him, I am able to find ways to get both celebrities and non celebrities to show him the kind of love that he needed to make the transition from new comer to resident. I want him to stay here and be happy with me and our friends.
So to our friends that are upset with Laurie's lies, please understand that she has always tried to use my friendships as a vehicle for her popularity. She thinks that if she uses what I have, it becomes hers. She doesn't know that friendship takes work and commitment. I do. Thanks for understanding that she uses your celebrity to justify her dirty deeds, but that you don't have to support her in public when the time comes. I love what you do for me with your talents and with your art. Mostly I love what you do for me with your friendship. People, after all, are just people.
