You guys all know that I'm a big Arrow fan and when I am not working on this project I am usually trying to finish up another season of the show. As you also know, there are some really incredibly good actors and actresses on the show...and this was one of them. Colton Haynes is, by the way, a member of the LGBTQ community. So for those of you out there that think great looking actors in superhero shows aren't ever gay, think again, Colton's already done this.
For my own purposes, Colton and I have something in common that I would like to talk to him in private about some day. Not what you think, dirty minds, I have a boyfriend. I just wanted to see if we could get ahold of him and let him know about what we are working on to see if he wants to be a friend of our team. Personally, I think he's cool.
So what do you say, Colton, wanna be friends? I have a career decision I need to talk to you about even if you don't. If it makes any difference, I thought about going to college at KU, I have fraternity brothers there. I, too, was bullied in high school and am still being bullied by the same person thirty years later. I think that a united front for boys that are gay that are bullied in high school need role models that they can look up to. I know that "things get better", but in my story they didn't, yet. In my opinion, I think it is helpful to reach out early to people that we want as friends.
