| This scene reminded me of the times that Laurie would bully me at school and call me a "flaming faggot" with Julie, her friend right behind her after she stomped off like a gorilla. 30 years later, the pair was in Sedona, Arizona, to do it again to me. |
Every once in a while, I sit down and watch a movie that has some impact on how I view the psychoses of Laurie LaStalker. This morning that movie was "Every Secret Thing" which deals with a pushy psychotic misfit and another girl that goes along with her. It reminds me of Laurie and her high school partner in bullying, Julie. Go figure, she's blonde and apparently oblivious.
I can remember in high school that Julie was always standing behind Laurie while Laurie was verbally abusing me with sexual comments. I say comments, but it was more like screaming as loud as she could. Rather than talk her friend out of it, Julie always stood by and gave a nervous laugh. It happened so many times that Julie had to know it was going to happen whenever they stomped up to me.
In the movie, the two girls get themselves into a huge problem when the commit a terrible crime of kidnapping and murder. They are put away from the age of 11 to the age of 18 when they are released. Once released the two don't see each other, but the manipulator, Alice, is plotting to hurt her friend again without her knowing.
When you consider that Laurie called up Julie to have her join her in Sedona, Arizona along with some of my friends from high school, it looks a whole lot like a set up straight out of Laurie's high school dream...to humiliate me with Julie in front of my friends. It is sad to think that someone has gone thirty years of her life plotting something like this...Laurie and Brian need to get over it. I didn't want anything to do with Laurie then and I don't want anything to do with her now.
