I only knew Shawn Parrish for a few years. He was a terrific guy, super smart and as nice as a person could be. I once got a chance to warn him about Laurie and told him about this harassment. He looked like he already knew. While we were friends, Anthony, Jonathan and I, spent time with Shawn. Actually Anthony introduced me to him and I was captivated by his kindness. He was a really intelligent man and a successful attorney.
Somewhere along the line, Brian and Laurie got a key to his home. They, as usual, robbed him. Later he would be drugged and implanted with an RFID chip...and, allegedly, infected with a huge amount of the HIV strain carried by either Brian or Laurie. Within weeks he developed pneumonia and died. Now that may not seem like a murder to you, but it sure as Hell feel like one to the rest of us.
It's safe to say that Laurie was obsessed with Shawn. She was hugely jealous of our friendships with him and sought to destroy Jonathan's and Anthony's permanently. She also sent Christopher over to his home as well. You know, the usual Palm Springs bullshit when it comes to electronic harassment. You almost knew it would happen. It's sad to think that nobody but myself warned him.
His death came long after my rape. In fact, it is safe to say that if Lt. Reyes hadn't let Laurie and Brian get away with that rape, Shawn would be with us still. I don't know if any of you know the lengths that Lt. Reyes has gone to help these siblings get away with murder, but I can tell you the lengths he went to let them get away with rape and gay bashing. He couldn't have done more for them. He literally threw away a preliminary Justice Dept. report with the DNA of two suspects. He told me that I was right about the rape from the beginning. He had enough evidence to bring in Peter DiMartino and Steven Frey, but when the DNA didn't match them, he got another report that said there was no DNA. This is the same guy that said Anthony Dabiere was "in custody" when he voluntarily came over to report child pornography that he'd eyewitnessed in the possession of both Laurie and Brian. Anthony, sickened by these videos, voluntarily came in to report them AT THE REQUEST OF LT. REYES.
Anthony was asked to draw up a marketing plan for the films until he saw them first hand and strictly declined. After that, the police arrested him and arrested him. He went to them after the arrests and STILL tried to convince them to go and find the tapes. Lt. Reyes, asshole that he is, didn't bat an eye. Didn't follow any procedure and let Laurie and Brian get away with that too. Allegedly the boys in the films were injected with blood....HIV infected blood. That is a murder on film...and he let them walk.
You see, I don't know if you can call that "letting them get away with murder" but as a victim from 28 years ago when they did this to me...it might as well be when a cop isn't even looking to find the boys in the film. That's so fucking gross.
It is safe to say that I can't stand this "officer". What he did to me, nobody should go through, but he did to one thing for me. He said, "You can say anything you want about our department...." so I'm taking him up on it right now. I'm sure he'll be threatening criminal charges again...but he might want to take another look at my skull that was crushed in the rape he said didn't happen....I already have the transcripts from the "restraining order hearing" where he threatened me on behalf of a woman that doesn't even exist. Some kind of rape cop isn't he??? You are an asshole Bryan Reyes....that's all you are. Number 2 in a department full of assholes, shitheads and losers, Number 2 is Number 1.
But for another whack of a Coke bottle, Lt. Reyes, I would have been just as dead as Shawn Parrish. I guess you would have written that off as just another night of rough gay sex...right???????????
