Is it any surprise to any of you that we're still living in a country where Republicans have more in common with Russians than they do with Democrats?
Happy Civil Rights Day, the only day in America when Officer Fernandez can't really arrest you for Driving While Gay (DWG) with a clear conscience. But I wouldn't test it if I were you. Although the rest of the world is catching up with what are considered equal rights for everyone, America, Palm Springs, California, in particular, is at war with technology invading the civil rights of the gay community and police support for this program of torture and exclusion. What use to be the second best place in California for gays has become the leading spot in the country for the destruction of our privacy and right to freedom of speech and expression. Seems awfully odd that in what we once were leading, we are now falling so far behind. Because of the efforts of a few bad cops and two siblings with an evil agenda.
In an Herculean effort to keep my friend Missy and myself from being happy, Laurie and Brian have double handedly destroyed the lives of thousands of people trying to make themselves the only options in town for the two of us. Not going to happen. Literally this brother and sister believed if they could use electronic harassment to keep everyone we loved away from us, that the two of us would eventually have to settle for one of them. Thank God for masturbation!!! Neither Missy, a lesbian, nor myself, a gay man, would ever opt for something that self torturous. An option isn't an option when you would never consider it!!! Brian and Laurie are two non options for people like Missy and myself that are so proud of who we are that being gay is a plus that we are happy to talk about!!!
Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and what I like to call "Civil Rights Day", I think Dr. King would like that. Civil rights should be handled that way too...civilly and without violence towards anyone, including the people that would use violence to keep us from having them. The most important aspect of what I am doing is prevention and information...you can't change what you don't know exists. There has only been one person that has ever tried to keep me from saying these words to all of you...and her position is clearly one of fear and violence...not exactly the kind of person that I would ever want to know or exemplify. A modern day fifties throwback to the days of legalizing racism and hatred towards anyone of color, sexuality or religious belief, Laurie is a real contradiction in time. Seeing herself as a "modern woman" with the value system of a hundred year old prude. She had to come from the south didn't she?
You would think that in a city where we have gay council members and a gay mayor that the rights of the gay community would be well represented, but alas there is a class system here in Palm Springs where people like our mayor, bury their heads in the sand and go along with whatever the conservative police department demands...and that's Palm Springs politics. As long as their rich asses aren't being tortured by Laurie...who cares? Let's face it...by the time the victims of this crime are thrown in jail and have had their rights stripped away from them by our police department, we can't vote anyways. The police literally strip away every single right that these victims have to effect change...we can't vote, half of us can't drive and if we can do either of the above, there aren't enough of us "poor gays" to make any kind of difference. What would Harvey Milk say??? The wealthy gays have stuck their noses so far in the air and their heads are so far in the clouds that they forget whom once supported them for candidacy...but that can change too.
In the three decades that Laurie and Brian have been living in Palm Springs, they tried everything they could to have the Warm Sands resorts in Palm Spring and the Gentlemen's Club in Cathedral City closed down by filing false police reports and making a general nuisance of themselves...all by bastardizing the only community that would have accepted them. A wise man once told me that these are the "very worst kinds of gays"; the ones that turn on their own community to profit and exploit". The funny thing is that this kind of hate has to be more closeted than the gays themselves...all done secretively and anonymously by pretending to be someone that both are not. Neither Laurie nor Brian has done anything but steal, experiment, play with and destroy the gay community. Good old Texas values here in California. But this IS California...and if they want to survive here, they are going to have to deal with the consequences of their actions for thirty years...we don't put up with that kind of treatment silently any longer!!!
If the LGBT community is looking for a hero...they have one now. Me! For almost thirty years I have been victimized by these two, but no longer. In every situation, in every instance, in as many places as I can, I intend to insert the content of my character into the equation from now on. No longer will I sit by silently and allow gay stereotype perpetuated by a hateful immature little girl to dictate what happens to our community. As our numbers have dwindled to a few that aren't implanted with these hate devices, there is a much bigger world out there that won't allow anyone to suffer without a voice ever again. I keep my eyes wide open and I have the team to slug away at this system of torture and unfairness every day that we exist. There will be a time when everyone that has ever been infected and implanted will be able to talk about what the two of these people did to them...and when it happens, I'm going to be the first person to hand them the microphone and turn up the volume as loud as I can. We've all lost here in Palm Springs...for far too long. Now it's time to fight the war against mind crimes before this little girl and her big baby brother hurt another family again. Their next move towards violence will be their last!
Happy Civil Rights Day everyone...fight for your right to be free from Laurie and Brian and police injustice forever. To save the world we must win here!!!
