To the officers of the Palm Springs Police Department that use the excuse that "They were ordered to do this communication experiment" or that "Laurie lied to them about what this technology was, whom she was, what she was doing with it" or any of that crap. That's a fine looking high horse you have there, but if you think that you share a commonality with the same victims that you, yourselves, put in jail, you've got another thing coming. You may have the same technology inside of you. You may have your privacy stolen. You may even have been intentionally infected with the virus that can lead to AIDS, but if you think for a minute that your victimization is anything like ours, you are leading yourselves down a dirty road that will lead to resentment and animosity. Think better of it.
You know better now that this technology isn't an "experiment" sanctioned by anyone but yourselves. The intrusion into your life is something that you had a choice in making. I can tell you that if my police chief or someone else ordered me to sit in a chair while someone stuck something in my body, I would have respectfully told him to suck my...well you know where that goes.
Nobody has the right to tell you that you have to participate in something that intrudes your body for a job. Are you the same people that are supposed to decide what is a rape and what isn't? Clearly some of you need to learn the difference between a job requirement and a employment violation. Where, in any of your job descriptions, does it say, "You shall participate in experimental medical and technological experimentation to better society"? Can't any of you take the lead on saying how wrong this decision was? I've already taken the knife on so much of this "craziness" for all of you...someone has already worked for this department that has volunteered for my team. Someone that currently works there had better come forward for the sake of officers that still work there. It isn't my face your saving, it's your own.
I understand "chain of command" and "military high archy" , but for Christ's sake, that is your body you gave up for this crime. There isn't a high archy of decision making when reporting a crime of this magnitude...there is right and there is wrong.
I do not dispute that Laurie lied to you. I do not dispute that you didn't really all know what was going on, but one or more of you did. There is no possible way that Laurie can tell you what to say to an e.h. victim at an arrest so that it will be funny, you say it and you not know that we are implanted. It isn't possible. You say the most dumb things to us to belittle us and now you are going to expect understanding?
You can't imagine how many times I told Laurie that I wasn't going to put up with this technological intrusion into my civil rights. Joining in on that conversation were Barbara, Jonathan Mendenhall, Tracy and Joe Johnson and every single member of my team. My diaries are full of entries about what I was going to do and how I was going to do it. If Laurie tells any cop that she had no idea what I was doing, she's lying. I wrote volumes about this crime right in front of her face. Laurie just thinks she's better than all of them...and better than all of you cops.
There won't be understanding until these victims are emancipated, compensated and expunged from their criminal pasts. It's not going to happen with silence. It's like telling a concentration camp survivor that you're sorry, but the criminal convictions you had before you were concentrated are going to stay...as a constant reminder of what assholes you really are.
