The internet created a lot of good things, but one thing that many people did not anticipate is the amount of time people spend on it, which takes away from other areas of their lives. We take for granted the freedom that a computer gives to a shut-in type of person. It allows them to dream and fantasize about being someone/anyone else. Lori had already been accused of sexual deviancy, allegedly, and was ordered to seek counseling before engaging in sex. Once she ran away from her problems to Palm Springs, Ca., she began to live her life online...and on her system...as someone else, but with the same exact personality disorders. Porn was free. Drugs were available to Lori. Her problems with sex and her sexuality grew to monstrous proportions. This was the recipe for the next 40 years. Lying to the police while a fugitive must have given her some sense of control over the people who would do her harm and put her back in jail. Couple that with multi-layered personality disorders and you get one very violent liar. Lori LaFond is that liar. |
