| Lori used a Coke bottle she brought with her to smash my skull in, but Faith's killer used a Bacardi Peach Rum bottle he found in her home |
I am sure that if you listen to what I've been talking about with my team, you will be familiar with the case of Faith Hedgepeth from the University of North Carolina who was found beaten to death and raped one morning after she and her roommate went out partying. The case struck a chord with me when I first saw it. There are all kinds of interesting aspects to it.
There is the roommate who likes lots of boys and seems to have one in particular that is obsessed with her to the point of a restraining order. A guy that breaks into the same apartment and is known to have made statements about killing Faith. Both Faith and her roommate went and got a restraining order against him. He also posts the weirdest message the day after Faith's killing.
Then there is the roommate herself who comes home drunk and sick at 2:00 am but then mysteriously leaves at 4:30 am with a guy after trying to get another guy to come over and take her to his place. Even more odd is that the roommate Rosario, leaved the door unlocked where Faith is sleeping while there is a restraining order out against the break in ex. Who does that?
In the end, Faith was beaten to death with a Bacardi Peach bottle from their own apartment. There was male DNA at the scene on the bottle and on Faith...she was apparently raped. The DNA could not be matched to any one of the people that are above and the case went cold but was being worked on for 9 years and 9 days.
As is usually the case, a DNA sample give for a different crime identified the murderer....a totally unsuspected individual who left a note that said something about "I'm not stupid Bitch. Jealous." It's all kind of strange, but nevertheless his DNA makes him the guy.
In my case, same thing. I'm at the boyfriend's, he leaves in the middle of the morning to take someone to the airport. I wake up at noon, beaten, bleeding and nobody is around. The bloody Coke bottle is a memory. My head is aching, my rear end has been violated. This whole thing is a blur because someone drugged me. I would later go to the hospital only to have obvious trauma to my skull missed two times, but I was shown an xray of a perfectly normal skull. When you see my real MRI's, you see my head was anything but normal. Then a postcard of my face being hit with a fist shows up in the mail.
Faith's case is so similar to mine in that there was DNA from the suspect left inside of my body. The sinister part is that it was frozen blood brought to the crime scene from somewhere else. Female blood with male semen in it. The blood is from the sister of the male semen provider...mixed together to look like it was some violent bloody rape by a man. Like they would know the difference between male blood and female blood.
Also the case was ignored, for the most part, by the police. I wasn't given a D.A. and I wasn't happy when the Chief of Police showed me the real crime lab report almost a year and a half after it had been released to the PSPD. Why so long? Then after suspect's DNA was taken and compared to it, they were eliminated and the report was forgotten and a new one showed up showing that "all the DNA on my clothes was mine", like a rape couldn't happen without DNA. But then the MRI's showed up and proof that my head was smashed was available. Then my labs from the DAP were given and it showed the timing of my rape. Then the postcard. Then the emails from someone named Laurie Johnson.
My case is just like the Hedgepeth case but nobody is testing Lori Jean LaFond or Brian LaFond. They are the suspects.
In my case there is brain linking tech that will link the police to Lori.
So this is a political case as much as it is a rape case, and then there are all my friends. When the police sworn to protect and serve only protect and serve themselves, then the public is in danger. I was in grave danger living in Palm Springs, California, so was Christopher.
