I Haven't Been Able To Breathe For Years and Years, No Disrespect, But When Is MY Uncomfortable Conversation? Thanks Matthew, As Always You Are Remarkable
Kudos to Emmanuel Acho (like "macho" without the "m") for hosting a show with a real substance during real times. I've tried to be better at a lot of things, but some conversations are easier than others. It's the hard conversation that we gain so much more from. This is a good idea at the right time from two men that obviously have something valuable to give to this country.
This is the right way to handle a black/white issue....head on, peacefully, and with intelligence. Anger and hostility have a place, but a conversation should precede it, not as a footnote. Only through education and experience can we learn from one another. Take the time to learn someone else's plight, and ask, "What can I do better?"
This is so good that I thought I would post the other two episodes online here so that people can realize the power of conversation based on understanding someone else's position. This could be done so much better in so many instances. I'm a person that likes a peaceful and intelligent conversation as opposed to the daily grind of Lori's, "Why not me? Why does everyone hate me so much? Why can't I be the person that Jeffrey helps?" I want you all to understand that I believed in him over 10 or so years ago. A decade later he's not the person I thought he was. Talking to my family or my sister and not me shows the kind of disrespect that we see between the black and white community. My sister does not represent me because she was given none of the facts, just Missy's friend's perspective. It was a slap in the face of the justice I seek.
At any rate, Emmanuel Acho is someone that I respect for having this conversation and putting together this series. It is long overdue. Thanks to all who have participated. Subscribe to his channel and keep yourselves enlightened. Ask him questions. Learn something valuable. I have to listen to Lori Lafond still and I'm still being bullied day and night for weeks, months, and years now. When will this end?
