I think that it is important to note that Lori LaFond tells people that what you read above isn't true or that meds don't work. She's always been against my clinic, the Desert AIDS Project, and I'm pretty sure that I know why.
If you have to listen to the shit that Lori has to say about HIV meds, you hear her bullshitting about how "these drugs don't work" and "I didn't work this hard to give everyone this so that they wouldn't die".
The cold hard facts are in, these drugs work. They work to keep the HIV patient alive and they absolutely do not allow that person to pass the virus on to an uninfected person. I've been on them for over 15 years now, so all the "Kevin has unsafe sex with people so he can infect them" from Lori La Fond is bullshit. I would never ever try to do something like that. I know what it feels like to have that kind of result and it isn't something I would ever want a victim or his family to have to go through.

So why isn't Lori part of the U = U equation? That's simple too. She doesn't take the HIV meds so she can still infect people and she's known she's HIV positive since 1987 or earlier. The only reason that she gives is that she's not carrying the virus. We all know that she is.
