Just a quick word for my friend Klay and his father, Mychal Thompson, Laker great. I am so proud of you guys and how you handled the situation last night. I know it's tough and I know you are disappointed, but remember, Tom Gordon didn't win every game he pitched, but he was still her inspiration to get out of the woods. I'm impressed with the Thompson family in general. They are really terrific people that have been doing the NBA for many many years. This is a talented family of athletes and people.
I just wanted Klay to know that Christopher and I are praying for his speedy recovery from the ACL thing and from the sadness that this situation brought. It will define you as an athlete when you do what it takes to come back and be even better. Rocco will be there the entire time, just like a best friend should be.
