Sometimes what worked before doesn't work this time but a true champion knows that there are many ways to succeed. There is never a substitute for working hard and keeping focused. I've found that many times people forget about all the other things that go into success besides the hard work. Your mind and body are one. If you have done the work to make your body Championship level, why wouldn't you do the same thing for your mind? Positivity and energy start in the mind and the body follows if you have done the work.
I've told you all that I use Klay Thompson as a model for how to succeed in your quest. You have to take care of your mind and body to get to the top of the mountain on whichever path you choose, but choosing the right path comes from your intellect. It's your mind that makes this work. You make better choices when you can clear your mind of obstacles and see what you have right in front of you. You can grab whatever dream you have if you choose the right path in the right body.
I wanted to wish my friend luck on this year's journey. It's different, it's challenging, it's rewarding, but most of all, to me, it is inspiring.
