It's been 20 long years since Matthew Sheppard was found beaten nearly to death outside of Laramie, Wyoming and left on a fence post to die. He would be 41 years old now and instead his family has decided on a final resting place for his body. Matthew's death marked a change in hate crimes and the way that I've viewed them since. As a victim of one of the worst hate crimes in the 21st Century, I want to assure you that I have not forgotten Matthew and his spirit.
His family and the Matthew Sheppard Foundation, an organization that has been "erasing hate for 20 years", have decided that Washington's National Cathedral will be the spot for Matthew to be honored for eternity.
I encourage everyone to visit the Matthew Sheppard Foundation page, in the spirit of Matthew to report this crime of hate in Palm Springs, California. Many of you know someone that has died unnecessarily at the hands of "Lisa" and you know that it is all based on homosexuality. "Lisa Hates Fags", we all know that!!!
20 years later, we are still living with a person that sneaks in at night and beats people nearly to death. We have a police department that won't stop Lisa because of their own ties to her technology...which I think is a great reason for them to stop her. Lies to the police are lies. If these men and women were implanted with devices under false pretenses, don't you think that they would jump at the chance to stop her? I think that their silence on this matter shows you that it isn't all about being misinformed. I think it has to do with an agreement with some officers to use this system illegally no matter what the human cost is to the gay community.
I've heard that some officers feel the way I do and the rest feel whatever the Chief of Police feels like. I think that any effort to say that the police weren't informed about the way this system works are sidelined by their desire to cover up Lisa's crimes and sweep them under the carpet. Some cops even put the rape victims in prison to stop them from coming forward. It's ridiculous.
