How To Use Your Personal Hot Spot To Keep Lori From Stealing Your Phone Number

Now I know some of you are really savvy techies out there, but did you know that your personal Hot Spot can be one of the best ways (and reasons) to keep Lori and her brother from stealing your portable number and charging the shit out of your phone bill.  How could this be?  It's a matter of using your phone as two devices instead of one.  Mobile hot spots on your cell phone, set up by your cell phone carrier come with a lot of advantages!!!

Using your cell phone as a wireless router for your devices is a smart way of keeping your number yours.  If you have an unlimited talk, data and text plan, you literally have an internet connection that is tied to your device ONLY!!! The technology will only allow your number with your router to use the hot spot.  If Lori tries to steal your number and then put it back, it will cause her numerous problems with Verizon Wireless.  Here's the catch...DO NOT USE VERIZON AS YOUR CARRIER!!!  The portability issue is easily recognized by your phone number changing devices and cell provider networks!  I am currently using Boost Mobile with a no contract, $50/month, unlimited talk, data and text line.  This means that for $50 a month, I have internet service (lightning fast too) and cell phone service!!!  If Lori begins to use your number for her own purposes from her home, her IP Address will show the switching of phone numbers and devices.

Having a portable hot spot ties your number to your cell  phone router' internet connection thereby proving that you did not use your phone...someone else used your number on another phone to ring up these charges.  It is imperative to understand that now you have two connections that can be tracked...your router and your cell phone.  If the number is stolen in the middle of the night and used, it will then become obvious that another cell phone is using it.  The serial numbers and the router information will not match the phone you have purchased.

It is so important to understand that number portability in this situation is no longer the most important thing, it is the router and serial number information that it attaches to.

Lori and Brian should never use your cell phone number again!!!  If you go in to pay your Boost Mobile or cell phone bill for the next month and you have a whole bunch of "pay for" charges...then you know that Lori and Brian have been using your phone.  Stuff like wallpaper or ringers or anything that you didn't download to your phone is being done from another device.  Copy that bill and write the FCC.  The next thing you do is contact Verizon Wireless and ask them who, of their operations team, is using your "other cellular carrier phone number" portably when you aren't using it!  If it is switching networks in the middle of the night...it isn't you.  You don't have the technology to do that...only Lori and Brian have that in their living room.

This has to stop!!!  Terrorizing families by charging up their phone bills must end!!!
