"Dressed for Dali" by Steven F. Arnold
A student of Salvador Dali, the surrealist of the Surrealists, Steven F. Arnold was not the co-artist that made this post card for the "Perspectives" art show that you see on the header of the blog. If you were able to read the show's script when it was available online, you would see that it was intended that way. It would have been impossible to have been collaborated between Sunny McNair and Steven Arnold because Mr. Arnold was deceased in 1994 after suffering from AIDS. How disrespectful could Laurie have been to have used a picture from an AIDS intended infection rape to advertise violence against a gay man and use the art of Steven Arnold as a cover? It's the height of sickness. The ultimate slap in the face to one of the creative geniuses and minds that lead to the counter culture movement of the 60's and 70's in San Francisco. Appalling!
Above you can view one of Steven's real photographs and see that he had a much more artistic and talented way of presenting his craft. "Dressed for Dali" shows a surrealist that is worthy of the Dali craft which earned him a place as "prince" in Dali's "Court of Miracles" which includes such other famous artists as David Bowie, Marianne Faithfull, Amanda Lear, Bette Midler, Marianne Faithful, Andy Warhol and probably two of Palm Springs' favorite daughters' Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner. These are the creative minds and bodies that changed the way we think about the world we lived in then and now. A counter culture movement of freethinkers that believed in peace through art, expression and word. This was the basis for some of the "hippie" movement and what would later become Woodstock and other progressive ways of thinking. It was love for love's sake and peace on earth. A beautiful expression of what the arts can bring to culture and the world.
This is particularly why the photograph, in the art world, with Steven Arnold's name on it and my face depicted with it, is offensive beyond words, but I'll try. You know me. I've had HIV since 1987. Steven was diagnosed in 1988. He succumbed to the disease in 1994 at the height of his own fame. In 2007, at the time of this photograph, I'd survived the photographer's HIV disease for 20 years and this was somewhat of an Anniversary picture of the first infection. 20 years after being exposed to the photographer's HIV, she decided to commemorate the anniversary with another infection and a beating. Photography, a screaming celebration in my ear, she practically christened my skull with a Coke bottle, over and over again and left me with her new form of her old virus with some additions...Hep C, tuberculosis and syphilis. To show everyone what she'd done, she send out a post card of the event using her brother's hand, allegedly, in the photo to dis-inform you all as to whom had done the dirtiest work. The calling card was left in my rectum...but the invitation to the celebration went in the mail a month or two later. You were going to be given the privilege of mocking my rape publicly at an art gallery on Indian Ave. in Palm Springs, California. I don't think that Salvador or Steven would have liked this display at all. Peace and love, destroyed with violence and disease.
It, once again, is filthy. The filthy disinformation that was used to keep a police detective from looking into this is what we are researching now. What in the world could Laurie have told Det. Frank Browning that would have kept him from looking into a rape victim's rape photograph. At the very least it is a threat sent to a victim's home. At the most it was a clear piece of evidence from the rape. I delivered it, by hand, to the police department, myself. My bloody clothing hadn't even been sent to the crime lab yet, and it still wasn't sent for months later...why? This detective is still working at the PSPD and he is in charge. Promoted for this kind of work on a gay bashing case...that's what I am telling you happens. If you do the cover up work and the threats, you get the paycheck increases. Your reputation is at stake though. There is no way this wasn't a great piece of evidence...it isn't an oversight, it was a complete white wash.
The model, I was told, on the phone, by the "art gallery owner"...was a man named Emmanuel Poe. Anyone else find that name suspicious? I know my face ladies and gentlemen, that is me. I did not pose for this picture and my eyes are terrified. This is what happens when you are drugged with their knock out drug. You are paralyzed with fear, but you can look awake and conscious, but left memoryless in the morning. What you are seeing is a picture from that rape. I would know if someone said, "Okay Kevin stand there and we're going to have someone put his fist in your face like you are going to get punched out"; which by the way is the request that Laurie has made of many people over the years and is allegedly on a video with Christopher. You can't get better evidence than the victims face during a rape Chief Reyes...I guess there is STILL nothing your department can do for me? Wonder why?
In a way, I feel a kinship with Steven Arnold and now with Salvador Dali, whom, for some reason, I know would like my style. I am a pop culture fanatic with Basquiat tendencies, thanks to a friend or two, and I know I embody the spirit of the LGBTQ community from those same Castro/Haight-Ashbury days of 1967. It was an era of freedom and creativity that I still long for with friends and colleagues because of the support these people taught each other. It's extremely creative and loving. Great for kids. Great for friendships and great for the planet. A do your own thing but love all kind of spirit that Dali and Arnold left everyone with. Oddity is normal...and that's always a good thing. My eclectic friendships I honor the most. I've learned more from society's "freaks" than I have from the "regulars". There is no way that this photograph would have gotten on well with Steven Arnold or anyone that he taught. It's offensive on another level now.
There is misinformation which is unintentionally given that misleads people and law enforcement in the wrong direction, then there is DISINFORMATION that is INTENTIONALLY GIVEN TO MISLEAD PEOPLE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR THE SAKE OF A CRIME. "A red herring" is placed somewhere as disinformation, a cover story, to make someone believe something different. Like the name "Mollybondhus" used to arrest Christopher Monti, the name of my dead cat, then put online with a picture of a woman bearing that title so that police will think she's real. She's not. You have to look into what Laurie does to DISINFORM you detectives because if you don't you are going to look foolish. How can you know you didn't send an email, know that there is an email from your account, Chief Reyes, then say you didn't send it and not look into it? This is a breach of a private email system owned by the County of Riverside. That is a breach of security with HUGE implications. What kinds of reports can Laurie get using YOUR email system? Hillary Clinton lost a Presidential election because of emails that were questioned, do you honestly think you won't lose your job???
You aren't doing yourself any favors by lying to the public and I have emails from you with lies in them. Anthony Dabiere was NOT IN CUSTODY when you had someone speak to him...you lied! That's what the email said. Are you going to say you sent that? Are you going to say you didn't? One way or another, you either lied or someone breached your email account and that is a crime. The information he gave was what YOU ASKED ME TO SEND TO YOU...it was INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. What you said was that it "contained nothing credible"...what it contained was information about child pornography created right down the street from your headquarters. He saw it and was asked to market it. Are you said that isn't credible??? You said that in your email to me. Did YOU send it or did someone else?
Disinformation is what this police department listens to. You have got to stop trading gay lives for your paychecks or you won't have jobs any longer. I have the correct federal friends to do this job correctly, and I am not afraid to use them now.
