Build Your House Out Of Brick: Laurie's Huffing and Puffing Again (In More Ways Than One)

I know that when it comes to Laurie, it is easiest to teach people what to do to avoid her by using fairy tales and children's stories.  We are all familiar with Laurie, The Big Bad Wolf, whom huff and puffs and blows your house down, right?  Well, remember, there is always some kind of lesson to be learned from those stories.  In this case, the smart pig that built his house out of brick/stone, had a foundation that took longer to build but was much more sturdy.  No matter how much the wolf huffed and puffed, like Laurie on a crack pipe, the solid home would not be defeated.

There is one other concept that we are all familiar with but have forgotten too.  One pig failed by building her house out of straw, one failed by building his out of sticks, but the third pig that built a solid foundation that the wolf could not defeat, took in the other pigs who'd lost everything, to keep them safe too.  You see, you don't leave the others behind to be eaten by the wolf, you save all the pigs by letting them in.

Laurie is huffing and puffing all day and night now...but she can't blow down a home full of friends and families.  She simply can't defeat love.

There is a moral to every story we tell to our children, are we actually forgetting that as we get older?
