Suffocated under the overbearing weight of Laurie LaDark and her need to control everything she sees, I have learned a few valuable lessons that I think all of us can grow by.
The weight of the structure of the pyramid of human experimentation I have likened to taking the sunshine from the "field and fertilizer" that makes the gay community flourish. Like an episode of The Simpsons where Mr. Burns takes away the sun for profit, Laurie has taken the opportunity and commerce away from the LGBT community for the second time in her life. It's a long slow recovery for our community as we don't procreate as quickly as others. When you take ten of our men from us, it takes another hundred men to replace them. Without any light or hope, we've withered where we once flourished.
I have understood, very well, what has happened here. One person, with a need to get rich quick, decided, with her brother, to target one segment of the population that she hated and wanted to destroy. She took an artificial system of mental abuse and with it took away much of what we'd gained. Using disease and crime to blame us for our own demise she began to feed off of what was left when we were taken away like some kind of bug eating away at a corpse. From body to body, home to home, she and her brother took everything they could find making themselves the only benefactors of liberty and freedom.
I knew that it was the internet and darkness was how she was doing this, rarely coming out of her cave to survey the damage she'd demanded. So I went to her cave and took from her what she used to take from us. I used the concept of artificial light, the internet, to shine light on the darkest room where she lived. You see, when you take the sun, you have to find light somewhere else before there is none left.
People may not understand the power of the written word, but it's the words that you use and how you use them that is stronger than any command that Laurie might give to hurt you or someone you love. I made sure that if she ever tried to take my sunlight again, it would be Laurie that would have to answer for it. Suffering in the dark is much worse than suffering in the light. Nobody can find you if you suffer where there is no sun...make your own light by telling everyone what she is doing, has done or threatens to do to you now. The pyramid that she built on top of us is heavy and burdensome, but plants always find their way to the light.
Until then, use your artificial light to keep you strong and keep coming back here, where you are loved.
