| This was taken at the Desert AIDS Project today...they clearly have an interest in following HIPAA guidelines!!! The Health Insurance Portability and Insurance and Accountability Act allows for a patient and doctor and health organization to keep your private information private...and ensures that nobody should be able to hack into your private health information without committing a crime. I don't know for certain, but I think that anyone that would provide a service that would allow for this to happen...without following proper protocol for security...like say a cell phone company allowing non operative non employees access to their system...may be in violation of these standards...if someone was using their system illegally to obtain information about a person's health, diagnosis, treatment or any private conversation between doctor and client; they may be violating HIPAA standards. I know for a fact that Laurie has talked about many of the patients at the Desert AIDS Project with police. Many of these men and women are very confidential about their status, treatment and physician...this information has been passed along to police officers and others in the community because nosey Laurie likes to keep track of a person's health...why? Perhaps she's interested in seeing the Blue and Green Widow's work progress. I know that I've had a spit hood on my face used like a "training" example in front of an office FULL of police officers...whom treated me like I was some kind of resistant criminal with AIDS. Without provoking any kind of warranted behavior...in the holding area before transporting me to Indio...the entire PSPD office came and watched while an officer put a Hannibal Lecter like bee keeper spit hood over my face. You would think that I had Ebola....and then the officer left that hood on my face from the time I left Palm Springs until I reached Indio...about forty minutes later ...in the heat. It was clear that the HIV thing was the reason...not my behavior. The Laurie list of people that have HIV or converted under her watch...shows that she was aware of them testing positive...and when...she wasn't in the room. She certainly wasn't in the room with me in 1987...only my mom was there. But she knew and spread the word like she was the nurse there.... I don't know if the PSPD has any responsibility to the HIPAA violations...but they do have a responsibility as to how they treat people with HIV. Christopher's blood was "stolen" from him without permission from what I've read. Without the consent to give his blood...a warrant for it must be issued to take it. He committed no crime other than being under the influence...when the police took him to the ground and put a knee on his butt...until he submitted. Was this another "Laurie training exercise". I would also like to make it clear that my team does have my permission to monitor myself while I am at the DAP and doctor's office because of the investigation as to what Laurie is learning and because I want them to know where I stand with my health. This is privileged information that my attorneys monitor with my permission and the permission of BK and his parents. None of this information is shared outside my team without my permission....Laurie L and her brother Brian L are NOT members of my team and should not be involved in any privileged conversation between my attorneys, doctors or private informational sessions with my police contact. |
