So you want to sell meth for the cops? Here's some stuff you should all know before you say yes to anyone that asks you.
There is one really good reason to say no...it's illegal. A cop that asks you to sell meth for them or gives you meth to set up a sting has committed a crime. It's called entrapment and it is highly illegal.
If a cop or narcotics task force is going to use confiscated meth from another crime...they have to log that meth out of the evidence storage. There has to be a record of the amount, the case, whom checked it out and whom is responsible for it's return. This is a highly watched over process...not just any cop can check out meth for an operation. Mostly undercover drug detectives would do this...and they aren't supposed to be selling it. Mostly this kind of thing is done in an ongoing investigation where a supplier is buying quantities from an undercover cop. Cops don't ever use an informant to sell drugs...buy them yes, sell them, no. Not even to entice people to bring in firearms or other stolen goods. If these pawn shop owners were given meth to entice criminals...it's entrapment.
I don't have any doubt in my mind that the three police officers used meth as a way of bringing in a criminal element to the City. Here's the rub. The meth that is confiscated is part of another criminal case, usually one that has been adjudicated. Drugs are usually destroyed after this...after testing and weighing....destroyed. In rare cases the police will keep a quantity for use in other operations. These are usually highly skilled drug cops like Bryan Anderson. He's been around and knows the scene. I've worked with DEA and Customs before...been in hundreds of trials...never was an informant ALLOWED to sell meth under the auspices of an "ongoing operation". Operations have a plan...a beginning and ending goal...this setup seems like an easy way for lazy cops to get an easy bust without taking any risk.
The meth used by the Pawn Shop should be logged...and not one drop of it should be missing...not one drop...if the cop checked out a pound, then a pound needed to be returned...ALONG WITH THE MONEY THAT THE SUSPECT USED TO PAY FOR IT. In other words, if the police took out a pound of meth...they need to log back in a pound of meth and a whole lot of money that they use as evidence of sales...which means that the Pawn Shop owners were "selling meth for the police"....and the cops made money or found money. This is a stupid way of doing anything. Any defendant is going to say I bought meth from the cops? Huh? That's the definition of entrapment.
Then the cops in this Pawn Shop case do something super underhanded and likely illegal...and this is something that the Geragos attorney needs to find out. How did the cops and the district attorney proffer evidence to get a search warrant? What did they say? How could the cops possibly get a search warrant for the people that they used for 200 busts in their own store??? Are you really telling me that after 200 busts these pawn shop owners weren't in on it? If the cops gave the meth to Mike for "street credibility" were they then searching his home to destroy his credibility with THEIR METH??? So you like this guy for some things, but when he tells you he's scared, you fuck him over with a warrant? What kind of district attorney are we dealing with here...and what kind of judge or commissioner?
So if there were 200 busts at this Pawn Shop...and most of them had meth involved...where's the sale money? How much money did the cops confiscate? Did they turn back in the original amount plus two hundred busts worth of methamphetamine sales? You know the Pawn Shop owners didn't get that cash, they're broke...so who did? What officer was responsible for this "ongoing operation"? If the pawn shop owner just used the meth for "street credibility" how is the police department accounting for that loss? Certainly they didn't pay for the rent of that building. They didn't provide protection for the owners' family...so where did that money go and how much was it? I'm a taxpayer...and I want to fucking know!!!
I never asked for a single benefit for my work that I do...and I've worked on this for seven years...not one single benefit. When this job started getting death threats and my homes started getting broken in to, no cop came to my rescue either...if these police officers expect me to believe that they are on the up and up, they are singing to the wrong choir in me...I know they fuck you over and make you look bad...on television, in print, with the City Council and with each other...they're assholes.
I found a half a million dollars or more in IRS tax debt for a convicted drug dealer and I didn't put anyone's life in danger, but my own....I'll bet that's a whole lot more than Rae and company found in all their years of terrifying this pawn shop owner...you know what I got for that? Not one thin dime...not one single attaboy, not one good job...nothing. The cops ignored this money because they were using Steven to sell drugs into the community for busts...but guess what? The IRS still wants their fucking money, what do you think the police will do for Steven? Nothing. They'll act like they didn't know or that it wasn't their business, but every criminal's debt that they arrest is their business. It's called the proceeds of drug sales and it is always considered. I think that it goes unnoticed because the debt was incurred by Officer Fernandez' sister friend Laurie...and the payback, as always, was cover up and look the other way. This is half a million dollars folks, probably more. Why isn't someone being held accountable for it?
Does anyone want to place a bet that Aileen Alvarez or Commissioner Best might have been involved? I don't know, but I do know one thing...when it came to fucking with me as a police informant, these two went out of their way to get a warrant with my name on it, under the most suspicious of circumstances ...just because I told you about them or because I told you about a woman that I was informed was Lisa. This is how the system is rigged against the informants for the police. They use us to do all the hard work...then they swoop in and throw us in the garbage. Like they are any better than we are. Actually they are a lot worse when you think of electronic harassment victims...they use the victims of rape and sexual assault then treat us like we are the criminals. Palm Springs is filthy. That's why I don't live there anymore.
Speaking of Aileen Alvarez and Commissioner Best...the suspects arrested in such a suspicious police "sting" would have had to appeared before Comm. Best in most of these cases...I wonder if his clerk is still calling them a "Steven Frey thing" or a "wake up and smell the coffee thing"? Was this Comm. under the impression that this was a Rae Fernandez thing? Was the clerk asked to flag these cases too? I know in our case, the case of gay electronic harassment victims we were subjected to some pretty outrageous sentences...and forced to take pleas....is this what you all think probably happened? How many calls did Rae Fernandez make to the clerk of that court or Aileen Alvarez during this period, if any?
For just one second I'd like those cops to think of something...what the Hell do you think you are doing? Do you honestly believe that you've done right by this family, the Nicols? They thought they were helping you...and you act like they are an inconvenience? Shame on you. You aren't any better than any of them...in fact, I think you are a whole lot worse. I am ashamed for other members of your department that actually do this job for the people...I think you selfish bastards are doing this for yourselves. If you three got in the career of being a cop to get rich, then you should have thought about it. Cops aren't wealthy people...climbing over the backs of the poor or gay, is inexcusable.
Shame on you Rae, I thought you were an Earthen person...live and let live...holistic...you aren't. Your negative energy and deceit will catch up with you, I only pray that I'm not there to see it. Karma has a different path for my kind of positivity despite your best efforts. I believe in good hard working people getting ahead and getting the breaks, not the ones that took a short cut to success.
