It Wouldn't Do Me Any Good To Remain Bitter...I'm Better Than That

I am never going to tell the parents of electronic harassment victims how to act.  That's not my job.  I can't imagine being a parent knowing that my child has been illegally implanted or infected intentionally with life threatening diseases.  This blog is their opportunity to find out what has happened and feel how they want to.  It is their choice to act out, shut up or demand action.

I am the victim of this crime that decided to say something.  There is a tremendous amount of pressure on me to get this right for as many people as I can.  I can't please everyone and I have friends on all sides of this disaster.  Some will get hurt, some will survive, some died and some will thrive.  It's the nature of crime that people lose...it's one of the things I saw every day in court.  No matter what...all of us have lost.

Today I am trying to show you that in her efforts to lessen the rights of men and gay men to push up women, she's done herself a tremendous disservice.  If we look at what Laurie wants as "equal treatment for women like men" and we use my situation...then a female rape victim has the equal right to be harassed by the police afterwards, defamed on television for going public, she has the equal right to be ashamed for telling the truth.  A female rape victim would thereby have the right to have someone threaten her and follow her without any police protection or action.  She has the right not to have a district attorney to talk to.  She would have the right to be infected with Hep C and not raise an eyebrow.  She has the right to have her boyfriend arrested as punishment for reporting the crime and loving her for it.  She has the right to be further humiliated by the person that did this to her by having a warrant issued for her arrest and she has the right to have everyone think she is capable of "workplace violence" simply because she wrote about her experience online.

How many women out there want the kind of equal rights to me...a man...a rape victim...a son...a brother...do you really think you win by diminishing a man's rights to level yours?

Similarly you have the right to be stalked by a man that the police have used as an illegal informant for years that put countless women in jail that were also raped.

You also have the right to have the Riverside County attorney tell you that you are clearly "sniffing glue" and have a restraining order filed against you allegedly by the man you have been told is your attacker or involved.  You have the right to be arrested six or seven times without conviction just to punish you for reporting this crime against you.

You have the right to have that man that raped you steal everything you own and have him contact you and your family and your friends to pretend that he had nothing to do with it...but that you are the asshole woman that is doing this to him.

You have the right to remain silent...would you have done that?

You see equal rights is a bar that can't and shouldn't be lowered for anyone, it should be raised as high as it can for everyone to achieve...and until we all meet that standard, then I just hope that women don't have the same rights that I was shown...you wouldn't want them.

Oh, and before I forget, women that want the equal rights that I have...you also have the right for your alleged stalker to throw you in jail for telling other people this...isn't that a bitch.
