We're Still Waiting for Our Pay Check!!!

Dear Chief Franz, PSPD, and City Council,

On behalf of all of the victims of electronic harassment from the gay community I wanted to submit my expense report for the last 8 years of work that I have done for you along with my boyfriend, Christopher, my friend Anthony Dabiere, Jonathan Mendenhall, Steven Frey and Benjamin Katzenberg. I think it is appropriate to note that WE were the ones along with hundreds of other gay men that were used to spy on the gay community without our consent or the intention of helping you obtain arrests that have given you promotions that help to feed your families, clothe your children and send them to school.  I wonder if you ever give a moment's consideration to those of us that lost our lives so that you could enjoy yours?

For that matter we weren't just cheap, we were free. We didn't take a day off.  We worked every single holiday.  We never called in sick. We never complained. For that, we were given stiff jail sentences, PC 1000 classes, fines, reputations and families that didn't trust us anymore.  We didn't ask for hazard pay, overtime, reimbursements or vacation pay, because we worked for you and you didn't acknowledge us.

While you were at home sleeping, we were out in the field, trying to keep from being thrown out of our homes, trying to keep our bank accounts from being emptied, and trying not to be thrown in your jail cells that we occupied more than anyone else.  We didn't ask for medical expenses for the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on HIV medications that almost all of us have to take because the fitting of us with these wireless communication devices cost us more than the price of an RFID chip...it cost us our lives.  We put our lives on the line for you...and believe me, we didn't want to.

Now our parents are also being victimized by you.  Thousands of dollars of their hard earned money is being taken by the operators that you agreed to work with.  I don't think that my parents are happy not being on your payroll since they have to take care of all of us when your teams of operators decide to ruin our lives because we won't do your job for you.

We didn't just find drug dealers for you, we found child pornographers, burglars, possibly murderers, but instead of finding them, you decided it was best that you arrest our friends, not the worst criminals...they got a free pass, because you can't decipher the information at your headquarters without them.  We never made you look foolish or uninformed and our information was always correct.  Our personal opinions and feelings never came in to play...but your operators did.

I would also like to submit the funeral expenses for the men's families that committed suicide and all of the burial expenses.  They worked for you too.  Their families deserve to know why their children gave up their lives for your operators. Their friends and loved ones want to know what kinds of benefits you plan on paying for their losses as well.

The IRS would like to know when you plan on paying them back the millions of dollars in fraudulent bank loans that were made in your number one dealer's name, Steven Frey,  without him knowing, so that your operators had places to live.  I am certain that they will want to be reimbursed for this program.  Of course, I told you about this many times, but then again, your people needed a place to live.

Then there is Verizon.  They will want to be paid back for using their wireless system and countless account numbers of their clients that were used in this operation including the numbers still attached to the devices in your heads.  There are huge data bills that have to be paid and thus far the victim's families and unknowing Verizon customers are paying for all of them.  For that matter, I'm wondering just how many of the operators are using Verizon cellphones that they don't pay for...ever.

We want to know whom entered into this secret agreement at your department without knowing what it was all about.  Whom oversaw this program and what exactly was his agenda?  Did you really need 300 informants for a gay community of our size...and for that matter how many heterosexual informants do you have like us?  Do they get the benefit of their information?  If you only targeted the gay community with this surveillance program aren't you a bit worried that it will look suspicious?  Why didn't you ever talk to any of us about it?

My attorneys want to know who's decision it was to utilize this system, and whom at your department is in charge of it.  We've got a lot of very important questions to ask him...like, how do you sleep at night knowing that you did this to us, our families, our friends and our children.  How do you feel knowing that your life is just as suspect as any of ours.  How do you like your privacy challenged every single day?  If you didn't think of these questions before hand, didn't you wonder if this could get out of hand?  How could you have not asked these questions before saying, "Yes"?

I didn't even mention my producer's projects that were stolen from their home and were copies that cost the movie industry billions of dollars over the past five years...how do you explain to the Katzenbergs that their son has to be positive now because you couldn't arrest the man that effected most of these problems?  How do you plan on telling Jeff and Marilyn that you are sorry you let him get away so that he could infect Benjamin....?  How?
At any rate, we submit this expense report without a dollar amount on it because you can't really put a price on the lives that this has destroyed so that you could look like a good cop.  I hope it was worth it.
