One of the most horrifying things about being the informant in the case against Laurie and Brian is the amount of sacrifice that it takes when she is using her own germ warfare against you. You have to realize that when you are her target, that she is probably going to try to use you as her host for medications. It is one thing to know that she is going to steal from you financially. It is another when she starts to get sick and she needs medication. Laurie suffers from bacteraemia. She has a hugely dirty blood stream from years and years of dirty needle use. Many hypodermic needle users don't clean their needles and meth users are notoriously bad needle cleaners. They often don't bleach needles and in Laurie's case, she simply doesn't care.
Bacteraemia coupled with someone like her that doesn't care about HIV infection is a terrible combination. Bacteraemia is bacterial based staph in an otherwise sterile bloodstream. In Laurie's alleged case, you have HIV which attacks the white blood cells and kills them creating more HIV virus, but then you have staph bacteria attacking the red blood cells too. Now you have a killing machine that not only won't protect the immune system, but it won't supply oxygen to it either. This is a perfect breeding ground for staph to kill a person and create a germ factory that can't be stopped.
Literally Laurie's body, and presumably, her brother's too, is a hot bed of germs that are not able to fight off infections and breed new infections all the time. They are resistant to many treatments because they only take minimal antibiotics that they can steal from host patients that they infect and steal medications from on occasion. Take for instance someone like me.
Let's say Laurie or Brian steal the keys to my home and are able to put their blood into my shampoo. I would get a staph infection in my hair. That staph infection could be semi cured with a treatment of bactrim, but it may remain in my blood stream without a heavy treatment of Cipro without further testing. Over a months time I may develop bacteraemia and be hospitalized with staph related pneumonia and get very sick. In the meantime, while I am in the hospital, Laurie and Brian use the stolen keys to my home to steal a half used bottle of bactrim to treat themselves for the staph that they gave me in my shampoo. They will be okay for the time being, but their bacteraemia with start to resist the treatment in their own bodies, creating a super staph within themselves. This, over time, will make them resistant to the bactrim all together. It will also make future victims resistant to the treatment as well. Thus future hosts will also die more quickly and will develop pneumonia faster and die faster if they don't detect the bacteraemia sooner. This is a super staph that will kill quicker.
It is all premeditated too. The hosts have no defense against Laurie and Brian. They don't know who they are even fighting against. The keys to homes are a key piece of evidence that show opportunity to do this crime. There is no reason for Laurie and Brian to have ever had these keys. The evidence is there. The DNA of blood in regular every day products like shampoo or soap or toothpaste is readily testable, but it has to be collected. Nobody should have blood in their shampoo. That makes this crime intentional.
Above you see the pneumonia that I got twice after Laurie paid visits to my sober living home. We know she was there and there are witnesses to her being there. You can see the results of her visit. We also know that she was looking for medication and that she stole items from me. Bryan Anderson was also told she was there before this happened to me. I was hospitalized two times with pneumonia after her visits. Both times I could have died. This is very serious.
