A very wise man once told me that "balance", in life, was "everything" and this man is a great man among men and women. He's thoughtful, a great great grandfather, a judge of the highest order, a leader, a teacher, a kind person, and very smart. I knew when he said it that he meant every word. You would take little nuggets of his experience and apply them to your life and then you would see that he was correct. In some ways he was the kind of father that I didn't have, but the father that my dad would have loved. He met him too.
Above you see the seven most important types of balance that you can have. In life today we feel like we have to critique or criticize everything a person says. We don't. What we do have to do is temper our own feelings with the above sentiments and find where our opinion lies. It may be different, but if it is well thought out, you will rarely find someone that can argue with your ability to balance.
It's not hard after a while but some people struggle with it their whole lives. Read them and see if you do all of these on your own. You might just find that there is a Kevin inside of you too.
