One minute you're the best husband and father in the world and the next you are the guy the papers are tearing apart. What's wrong with people? You all know that I'm a big Gavin Rossdale fan and I'm going to say this now, why can't his marriage to our friend Gwen Stefani end without there being old rumors flying around about his fidelity and sexuality? Who cares. Yesterday, he was everyone's favorite daddy and today he's gay or cheating or an alien from outer space. Who cares?
Look nobody wanted Gavin to be gay more than me, but not like this. My admiration was simply a shallow observation, not a message to the gods of homosexuality...don't buy into this shit. This guy is a father times four. He's going through a tough time and so is Gwen. You loved them yesterday, love em today without all the "why's"...the answer is simply none of our business.
I hope someday to meet both and tell them I admire their parenting...and class. Christopher and I are going to have to get use to scrutiny that isn't true.
