She was the Elvis Presley of True Crime and my literary idol!!! The one and only, Ann Rule passed away yesterday and I needed to pay tribute. Ann, famous for her book, "The Stranger Beside Me", the quintessential expert on Ted Bundy, started out by working with him in the Pacific Northwest. This reminds me of knowing Laurie LaBundy since junior high school and high school before she continued on her lifetime of stalking me and my family. Ann is, and will always be, my favorite true crime novelist. Her formula for understanding the crimes that she wrote about is THE STANDARD!!!
I will write this book with her in mind...the author beside me, guiding my research and writing.
The world will miss you Ann Rule!!!
