Merry Christmas All Over The World!!!
As most of you know, I usually take the time during the holidays to give thanks to the people that drive this whole shebang that is our investigation into electronic harassment and Palm Springs, California. There are way too many people to say thanks to, but I'll try.
Take a look at the picture above. You see all those lights? Different colors, different places, criss crossing over the top of the others...that reminds me of life...and the dark places in between remind me of this crime. The more lights the brighter it becomes and the less dark places there are. Eventually there are so many lights that you just can't help but to stop and look at them. The more the merrier.
First and foremost I'd like to thank the two most important families for Christopher and myself. To the Bonds and the Montis, let's all pray that someday we will all be a family that helps one another and cares enough to see us through the bad times and good...helping as many people as we can. There is something very special about the promise I made to Mrs. Monti and my mom, a promise that things would change for the better. I intend to keep that promise for our families to carry on a message of hope for everyone in every situation we can. All my love.
The Katzenbergs and the Mendenhall/Elmores...what can I say? You've been with us from the beginning and it is another year of frustration and discovery. I know how hard this has been on you and I also know that it has brought you all closer together. Families lose sight of the kind of closeness that makes them a team, a force, an inspiration and a family. I hope that in some way that this investigation and adventure have made your families recall what made you great...love, caring and kindness, the likes of which I can never be grateful enough for. What would I ever do without all of you? Words can not express...
To the Sunderland and Finleys...you put out in the world my two most mature and sensible friends, Anthony and Marky. In my immaturity to handle situations I learned grace and patience from your two children that have grown into the men I love and cherish most of all in the world outside of Christopher. As they embark on their courageous journey of love and success, I want you to know that it is because of you that they can be whom they are. I've always admired my friends, Mark and Anthony...their wisdom kept me safe...I live because of them.
My team. You put up with all of my fits and anger. You give up so much of your time for my project so that it becomes OUR project. I already see this group of people being the family that I turn to as my family does their own things...the girls, the boys, the attorneys, the friends...we all have one common goal but this Christmas I want you to dream of your individual aspirations too. You have a right to believe in freedom and your own choices that I will always find a way to support. This project started off with paper and masking tape...now it is all over the world!!! I am humbled by your grace and return all the love you have given to me with a promise of friendship until the end. Barbara and the girls now have hope where there was none. The boys have a light for their careers and friends to follow to success. The attorneys have been there for me with friendship and teaching me how to be the right kind of witness, informant but mostly a person. Thank you all for being so thorough...I know I'm difficult, if I were easy you'd work just as hard. I'll try to remember that. My love to your families for so generously allowing me to have you for so long. We love them all.
To the victims of this crime. I know that you have all believed in me and that I could get this project across the finish line. It has taken longer than I'd expected, but I've suffered too. I will always land on the side of the true victim. The ones that never knew what this was about or the science behind it for they truly are the lambs of sacrifice whose voices were never heard but their tears we shed so often. I hear you. I care. I want you to be free just like everyone else. To those whose memory is here in spirit, we haven't forgotten you. You mattered. You counted. You did more for me than you know. Your words inspired Christopher to love me. You loved Jonathan and Anthony through the pain. You understood Mark and let him stay with you. I know you are here still...I feel you. Your life was not worthless...it was worth it...and your families will someday know what you suffered through and endured. It's what you deserve.
To the rest of the world and our fans everywhere. Don't allow yourself to feel that, "why didn't I do something" feeling. I've been there too. I am telling you to get involved. Talk to my team, see what you can do. There are so many ways to help this situation and we will need your support in the future. I will be asking for your help as this project looks to assist these victims and their families. Will you be there? I know in my heart that you will. Christopher and I believe in faith in God and good people...if you are here, you are one of those. Find out what you can do to help...please...people are being tortured and begging for your help. All of my prayers to you and yours this season...help me live in your America so that I can help others to do the same.
Merry Christmas Everyone from the Electronic Harassment Parent Coalition of Palm Springs, California.
