Pastor Mendenhall and Sharon Mendenhall, I know that this situation must be getting on your last nerve by now. I don't know how much Jonathan has told you, but here's the story from my end. As it stands, it looks like Laurie and her brother were arrested in Sedona towards the end of our trip without my knowledge, which would have made me very happy as the police informant investigating them. Nothing would have been better. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, someone friendly with Jeffrey Katzenberg bailed them out. It seems that it wasn't his idea, but it was with money that was stolen by Laurie from his father's account, put in Missy's account, then put back into Laurie's account, then put back in Missy and David's accounts or something like that...without Jeffrey knowing? Whatever...Seems awfully fishy considering that it's been seven years and this hasn't been handled by Jeffrey and I've been through hell, but never the less I digress.
It would appear that neither Laurie nor Brian used their real names nor identified themselves as brother and sister when they were arrested. They think that by using fake California Id's they will just skip out on bail and be gone, but when they are charged with photographing minors and drugs...the bail is really high and they police tend to DNA test you, photograph you and fingerprint you....the charges are usually sent to the feds and the conditions of release usually aren't even bail worthy. Out of state means a "flight" risk so they were told they needed a place to stay in Arizona or they would remain in jail. At a second bail hearing they apparently used YOUR address in Dewey as the only person they knew in Arizona because of Jonathan. I find this appalling since they followed the three of us there on vacation and filed a restraining order against me when they got back and took a picture of Jonathan with a gun to his head while he was there...not to mention they sent me a death notice about him and cremated him from your own home. Obituaries in newspapers and basically set up your entire family for a fraudulent death claim later. I'm kind of mad at the four of them.
Here's the thing. I am a former courtroom deputy clerk. Bonds, sureties and bail are kind of what I did for a living. It was what I was an expert at. There is almost no way in the universe that they could have given your address without contacting you in some way. If they has a letter, it was fake. If they called you, it was not you on the phone. If someone appeared for you, it wasn't you. This could never have happened. When out of state defendants accused of drug crimes and child molestation with pictures are in a bail situation like this extra care is given for the sake of the victims. I know they ordered ankle monitoring. I think that you need to contact the court and tell them immediately who these two people are and that you never gave any indication that you intended to let them live with you and Sharon and what has transpired since. It is in your best interest to show the gun to the head picture and the "ransom" death notice. You need to show that there were obituaries posted in papers for Jonathan and that the siblings are who they are with their mother's identification and there whereabouts
Be specific. They are fugitives and they are dangerous. This game needs to end asap. There are minors that are now adults that are in fear for their lives and I am as well. Jonathan is safe but we still live in fear. You have to be the person to identify and have someone come here to arrest them.
